Making Life Better!
Success and fulfilment are often right in front of us, but we get so caught up in our thoughts that we don’t see it… After struggling for years to make sense of my life, the conclusion I came to was – even if things seemed impossible, which at times they certainly did, ultimately the idea of ‘impossible’ was just my perception…
If you feel disheartened and let down by the circumstances in your life so far, firstly, please let me reassure you – you really can find whatever it is you’re looking for; and secondly, with the right help, in the right environment – you can achieve all your goals.
If like me, you’re here because over the years, circumstances got the better of you, and you feel somewhat beaten down by life – please believe me, no matter how bad things seem, we really can change our lives for the better and achieve our version of success – whatever that may mean for each or us. Even if it seems a lifetime has passed by… And we can do it starting right now!
Whatever it is in life that you are seeking – better health, comfort, stability, financial security, a purpose to live for, a feeling of satisfaction and achievement… You can do it – starting today, starting right now, in fact, starting this very minute, even if it’s just something as ‘small’ as making a decision to do it… That is a start in itself!
Our Perceptions Make all the Difference
If things have gone wrong repeatedly in our lives, it can certainly undermine our confidence, and if things keep on going wrong, then our faith in ourselves, and our ability to make decisions can become badly affected as well. So, what I’d like to say is, we all make mistakes, and we all fail at things sometimes – that’s a normal part of life; call it ‘trial and error. The ‘serious’ problems usually start because so often, we start thinking we are failures!
But, once again, ‘feeling like a failure’ is just an impression we pick up about ourselves somewhere along the way because things haven’t worked out for us in the manner that we wanted or expected. The fact is however – none of us are failures – it’s simply not possible!
We’re all good at something if life – so ‘feeling like a failure’ just means that we haven’t discovered a way to find success or fulfilment doing what we’re good at! It might have been because we weren’t able to find the right avenue in life, or because we’ve taken the wrong approach. Whatever the reasons were, they may have been as complex as we are… We just have to keep believing in ourselves…
Believing in Ourselves
Sometimes, it’s not easy starting over, that’s for sure. Especially if we’re coming from a point of prolonged disappointment, or loss. But if we can do it in tiny stages it’s less daunting, and as each stage moves us closer to our goals. It helps us rebuild our confidence; and building our confidence can so often be the most important step towards building our success! Even the hardest things can feel easier and less overwhelming if we approach them in stages, one step at a time.
The most successful people in life, the ones who seem to achieve the impossible – do whatever they do, one step at a time! We just have to continue taking those one steps, even if they’re tiny, seemingly insignificant steps. And that is done by believing in our abilities, and our self-worth… Even if we feel we’ve let ourselves and our loved ones down! We have to keep telling ourselves – we are worthy of your own care, attention and above all – our effort no matter what!
The Emotional Struggle
Without a doubt, change can be extremely emotional. Even the thought of it can become a terrible struggle… When I started on this journey last year, I had spent months and months trying to ‘psyche’ myself up to do it! It was a monumental step for me… I was consumed with fear and apprehension, and my lack of confidence would get me almost into a state of panic just thinking about stating again.
So, the first step might well be ‘just’ a decision, but it’s an agreement we make with ourselves, an acknowledgement to change. And that in itself is an act of change! It might not seem like much but it is a step forward! And it’s always the first step that is the hardest – it also takes enormous courage! But it’s a huge achievement, because no matter what it is we want to do in life – we have to do it step by step… If you think about it – there is no other way of doing anything in life!
I say this honestly from personal experience – Until relatively recently I had been in such a terrible state, it felt like I had been to Hell and back. I was mentally completely exhausted, physically broken down, emotionally in despair. All in all, I was so crushed by life, I felt completely worthless… It seemed there was nothing that I could do anymore to change my life. I had tried it all – and failed.
The Shame and Isolation
Year in and year out, everything just got harder and harder; and I had no energy or strength to carry on. I had nowhere left to turn; and the same confounding questions went round and round in my head night and day… What can I do to change my life? How will I ever pay my debts? Is there any way out of this nightmare?
I had tried so hard over the years to find a way that would enable me to work from home, at my own pace. The last job I had, had ended in disaster – Long term health issues always seemed to put a spanner in the works on the job front… After graduating from college, despite all my ambition and effort, my career just didn’t take off…
It was just too depressing for words. And eventually, it started to feel as if it might as well have been another lifetime when I had had career prospects to look forward to… I felt so totally demoralised and alone in the world – everyone I came across seemed to be able to work and earn a living. All my peers from college, were rising up the career ladders, going from strength to strength, while I seemed to be perpetually stuck – getting nowhere.
Making a New Start
Then my sister Sherry found an on-line business opportunity which she showed me and urged me to try. I had tried so many things before, but my sister kept at me. Finally, despite my apprehensions, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to take a look; I was at my wits’ end and I desperately needed to make something work out for me. So I gave it a go… I had to sign up for a free video series, and then subscribe to a course.
I wasn’t too sure I would be able to do a course – I felt completely burned out; I didn’t think I could cope with self-study; I had tried so many times before. I felt scared – I couldn’t face the thought of yet another failure, more time and effort, more shattered hope, more wasted resources over nothing. But I didn’t have all that many options left, so I grit my teeth and decided to do it…
Discovering New Hope
I discovered opportunities to create all types of businesses, in all sorts of different areas of interest, based around what I was passionate about, and what I wanted to do; all from my laptop from the comfort of my home. I didn’t have to worry about getting to work on time, getting exhausted from the daily commute, not being able to meet my deadlines, attending after hours meetings… Or any of the other commitments that are part and parcel of a career job.
And I also soon discovered that this course was very different… It was fun! There was always expert help at hand from support staff. I didn’t feel alone, but I could work through the modules at my own pace without any pressure. There were endless study courses available if I wanted to make use of them, and I could ask for support from other members of the community any time I wanted.
I have finally found a way to realise many of my life’s ambitions too that I had given up on simply because I didn’t know how to make them happen! Here I can learn all the skills, and get all the information and help I need to make anything that I am willing to put work into happen for myself.
The New Journey Begins
So, here I am right now, I’ve just finished working on my website. I would never have dreamed of building a website about life’s problems, sharing my experiences with everyone… I was always so desperately shy and insecure, it would never have occurred to me that one day I would use my own experiences in life to help others cope with what they might be going through in their own lives.
Now even though I so wish I had found this opportunity years sooner… I am so glad that I did at last find it… Once again I feel I have a future to look forward to, rather than one to dread. It’s slow going for me, at times I lose patience with myself; sometimes I find myself getting disheartened, sometimes I wrack my brains over things that seem to confound all my mental faculties! but I am slowly moving forward, I can almost dare to see myself getting back on my feet. And I no longer feel like a complete failure.
Finding New Courage
Of course, I’m not amongst the ranks of the rich and famous, people known for their wisdom and courage in life. And for sure I don’t have all the answers to life’s mysteries… But when I think about the state I was in just one year ago, and how far I have come since then – I can honestly say that my life has changed dramatically for the better!
In fact I can say I have changed for the better – I am mentally stronger, more confident, more able to take things into my own hands and take control, rather than feeling like a fallen leaf being tossed on the wind. My ‘mindset’ has now changed – I am no longer a hapless soul feeling hopeless and lost – I now know I have the power to make my life better for myself and for others too…
I do have to stay focused and not become side-tracked, regardless of how impatient I get. That helps me recognise and remember the progress, and avoid feeling frustrated or overwhelmed because I want to fix everything at once… But the important thing is: I am no longer a victim – I am a victor!
Acknowledging Our Strengths
We are all capable of making amazing things happen – we do it every day of our lives without giving it the slightest thought… We open the door to someone and smile – we create an up-lifting affect in that person’s life. We answer the phone and say ‘hello’ in a cheery way – we create a moment of joy for the other person. We say ‘thank you’ to someone – we make someone feel appreciated and special…
Being ‘brilliant’ at something is not important… What we do is what matters! We just have to learn how to make things matter in a way that benefits us as well as others too!
We Can All Make It!
This life is a journey of discovery – from the moment we’re born, to the moment we die, we are discovering who we are and what we’re capable of. We don’t all need to be exceptionally smart or perceptive, or talented to make a significant difference for the better in the lives of others and for ourselves…
Sometimes, we just need a little guidance, perhaps some reassurance, sometimes a little help, sometimes maybe even a hand up, but most of all we have to stubbornly believe in ourselves – no matter what! To tell ourselves every day when we look into the mirror that we are creators of wonderful things! That we are worthy of wonderful things! And to remind ourselves of this whenever we can… What we believe about ourselves makes all the difference!
Stay with me on this journey – it will be a great pleasure to have your company. So ’till next time…
With love and good wishes,
Dana xx

Thank you so very much for your comment. I try my best to make my articles clear and concise. But, trying to write about life and its ups and downs is such a tenuous vocation, since we all have such different views, thoughts and feelings. All I can say is that I am humbled by your kind words and am very happy that you have found the article useful.
I will of course be more than delighted if you keep up with the content I put up here. I’m currently working on some other projects so have not actually had enough time to write any more articles, but I am hoping to remedy that soon!
In the meantime, all the very best to you,

Thank you so very much for your comment. I am humbled by your words.
Regarding your query – I take it that by “supply” you meant the destination of the link I included in this post(?) If that is indeed what you meant, then yes – I am absolutely positive about it. It is a totally legitimate opportunity to start an entrepreneurial journey. It is the same program that I used to set myself up and I can only say that I can’t recommend it highly enough – there is nothing like having your own business and being the master of your own destiny.
I hope this answers your question. If not – please contact me again, I will definitely get back to you.
